Our Mental Health First Aid qualifications are fully accredited by theFirst-Aid-Awards-Ltd SCQF and RQF educational awarding organisations in Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with a focus on workplace mental health.

Mental Health First Aiders must be integrated into the workplace with care. These include a wider system of support, supervision, guidance, safeguarding, and due diligence.

Our Mental Health First Aid qualifications are a terrific way to start a good wellbeing culture in your workplace, and they are organised and presented differently from traditional MHFA courses. Get all the benefits of structured classroom learning with the flexibility of the digital world and the ability to study wherever you please. Throughout the course, learners can interact with the facilitators and with one another.

All courses are available for groups ranging from 1 to 12 people.

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health – 2-week course

This course is an introductory course only and does not qualify you as a Mental Health First Aider

 

Total time: 2-hours guided learning and a minimum of 4-hours self-study over a 2-week period.

 

A half-day on-site classroom version of the course is available.

 

This online qualification provides you with the skills to start a conversation about mental health so that you can identify when someone might be struggling with their mental health. You will learn about stress and the most common mental health conditions that form part of our current diagnostic landscape, and if necessary, seek further support from a Mental Health First Aider who can signpost appropriately.

First Aid for Mental Health – 3-week course

This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider

 

Total time: 3-hours guided learning and a minimum of 6-hours self-study over a 3-week period.

 

A full day on-site classroom version of the course is available.

 

This online qualification covers the same content as the Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health, but it also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, and outlines how to support a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

Supervise/Lead First Aid for Mental Health – 6-week course

This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider

 

Total time: 6-hours guided learning and a minimum of 9-hours self-study over a 6-week period.

 

A two day on-site classroom version of the course is available.

 

This online qualification covers the content of Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health and First Aid for Mental Health, as well as a broader spectrum of mental health conditions and behaviours and the support and assistance provided by healthcare professionals.

First Aid for Youth Mental Health – 3-week course

This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider supporting Young People

 

Total time: 3-hours guided learning and a minimum of 6-hours self-study over a 3-week period.

 

A full day on-site classroom version of the course is available.

 

This online qualification has been designed for adults supporting all children and young people up to the age of 18. It will provide you with the knowledge and skills to recognise early signs of poor mental health in young people and give you the skills to start a conversation and, if necessary, signpost the young person towards professional help.
