MHScot Network Meetings

Image about the network meetings

We look forward to welcoming you to our new network meetings. These can be attended as a series or as separate meetings.

How will the network meetings help me?

The meetings are designed to give you the opportunity to meet people from other organisations and look at mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, from an individual and collective perspective.

Each meeting will include reflective practice to take away and help you apply the learning in your own role and organisation. There will also be time for networking and making new connections. Time to share current challenges and suggested topics for future meetings will be included.

Guest speakers will attend meetings to add specialist knowledge and update e.g. good practice and regulatory requirements.

Who can attend?

Anyone can attend and as part of developing an all-staff approach to mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, you are encouraged to share the learning with colleagues.

How long are the meetings?

The meetings are 90 minutes and this will be reviewed following feedback. The initial meetings start at 10am and again this will be reviewed.

Joining Instructions?

Zoom invitations will be emailed a week before each meeting.

What is the cost?

Each meeting is £20 + VAT per person. You can either pay by Card (including Business) or you can request an invoice if your organisation is covering the costs.

Organisational mental health and wellbeing – Involving everyone in your organisation

This meeting focuses on making support for mental health and wellbeing something for everyone in your organisation.

We will look at your organisation’s structure and the current reach of support, key roles to facilitate an all-staff approach, support already available in your organisation and how this is aligned to policies/processes/HR activity.

Your organisation’s emotional culture will be considered and how this affects staff and the overall performance of your organisation. Links will be made with your organisation’s values and using them to support an all-staff approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Network meeting 3 – Tuesday 18th May, 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Organisational mental health and wellbeing – The role of the line manager

This meeting focuses on the role of the line manager as a key link in an all-staff approach to mental health and wellbeing.

We will look at opportunities in line manager job descriptions/competencies to help reinforce an all-staff approach to mental health and wellbeing. Key roles to help support a consistent approach for all line managers will be considered. This includes reviewing the take up of support in different parts of your organisation.

Links will be made with your organisation’s structure and the current reach of support together with the role of line managers in developing the emotional culture of your organisation.

We are delighted to welcome Lee Panglea, Head of CIPD Scotland and Ireland as our guest speaker.

Network meeting 4 – Wednesday 16th June, 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Organisational mental health and wellbeing – A personal plan, ready when needed

This meeting focuses on having the right type of support in place for people, as and when they need it.

The meeting will introduce the idea of a Wellness Action Plan (WAP) for personal use but also as part of an all-staff approach. Links will be made with the role of the line manager and developing the emotional culture of your organisation.

Opportunities to use the structure of the WAP to support and discuss common themes or challenges will also be considered.

We are delighted to welcome Cat McClay, Head of Talent & People at AgileCadence as our guest speaker.
